What the Job Is
As a Zomato Delivery Partner, you pick up food/grocery orders from restaurants or stores and deliver them to customers using your bike/cycle or other vehicle. It’s typically gig-style work with flexible timing — you choose when to log in and work.
Who Can Apply
Most openings do not require formal experience — anyone 18+ can apply. Some listings show no minimum education requirement.
Common requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older,
- Smartphone with internet to use the delivery partner app.
- Personal documents (ID proofs) and vehicle papers — see below.
Documents & Vehicle
You generally need:
- Aadhaar Card (identity proof)
- PAN Card
- Bank account details (for earnings)
- Valid Driving License (for motorised deliveries)
- Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC) — bike/scooter if you’re using one
(Some markets let you join using a rented bike or a cycle too.)
Note: If you ride a bike, the driving license and RC are typically mandatory. For cycle delivery, some restrictions may vary by city.
Earnings & Pay
Earnings for delivery partners vary based on delivery volume, incentives, and city — but typical figures in job listings show:
- Full-time earnings: ~30,000 – 50,000 per month (sometimes more with incentives).
- Part-time earnings: ~10,000 – 20,000+ monthly depending on hours worked.
- Weekly payouts: Many delivery partners get paid weekly directly into bank.
- There can be joining bonuses, peak-hour incentives, and other bonuses too.
Some listings even show earnings up to 60,000+/month in high-demand areas with strong incentives.
Work Flexibility & Hours
- Flexible timing: You can generally work when you want — log in to the delivery partner app for shifts that suit you.
- Part-time & full-time: Both options are typically available.
Training & Support
After onboarding:
- Zomato may provide training on using the partner app and delivery procedures.
- You’ll often receive a delivery kit (bag, T-shirt, phone mount) in many cities.
- There’s support through the partner app (chat/call help).
Benefits Offered
Depending on city and program, delivery partners may get:
- Accidental insurance cover (e.g., 10 lakh).
- Health insurance coverage
- Referral bonuses for bringing in other partners.
- Incentives for peak deliveries, rain/demand bonuses, etc.
Note: Zomato classifies delivery partners as independent contractors, not employees, so they typically don’t get formal employee benefits like PF or paid leave, unless specific local programs apply.
