Saia LTL Freight is currently hiring Local Pick up & Delivery drivers in Dallas, Texas. Our Local P&D drivers will operate various tractor-trailer combinations between company terminals and customer facilities or work sites within the terminal's geographic service area. 

Responsibilities include sorting, handling, loading, and unloading freight at various locations. This position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with weekends off, providing drivers with daily home time. Overtime pay is available after 45 hours for the week, subject to local laws.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
• Follow oral or written instructions on freight bills, manifests, and shipping documents.
• Use safe handling and lifting procedures to load and unload freight with equipment assistance.
• Comply with hazardous material handling and placard regulations.
• Maintain timely and safe work practices to meet service schedules and customer commitments.
• Provide professional representation of the company to public safety and law enforcement officials.

Requirements:

• 21 years of age or older.
• Current Class A CDL.
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience within the last 24 months.
• Doubles/Triples, Hazmat, and Tankers endorsements.
• Successful completion of a driving test on company equipment.
• Basic understanding of handheld mobile applications
